Have you ever wondered what it would be like to breathe under water? Are you curious how it would feel to be totally weightless, as if you could fly? Scuba diving can be your dream come true and your only question will be, "Why didn't I try this sooner?"

No prior experience is needed and even children (over 12 years of age) can dive! If you are in good health, conditions apply (Link to medical) and are curious about scuba diving; one of our professional instructors can provide you with the experience of a lifetime.

REEFWORLD - "Hardy Reef

Is the ideal safe introduction to scuba diving, and is completed in just one day on your trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

Your adventure begins with an introduction to scuba talk, then a pool session in the shallow water of the Reefworld Moonpool.

In waist deep water you will learn the basic skills and knowledge required for your first scuba dive.

You are now ready for an escorted scuba dive at the Great Barrier Reef, where you will get up close to this amazing underwater world.

Your instructor will accompany you in small groups for your 30 minute dive. In depths between 3-10 metres you will experience the magic of the Great Barrier Reef, and see hand fed tropical fish, turtles, gropers and much more. This experience will be one of the best days of your holiday. To help your instructors better look after your health and safety, you will be required to fill in a medical questionnaire; they will also ask you some questions about your level of fitness and comfort.

  • Extra Time=Extra Patience. Our Instructors ample time to offer patient encouragement with a high level of safety and enjoyment.
  • Asthma and some other medical conditions may prohibit you from diving, you would be required to obtain an Australian Standards 4005.1 SCUBA Diving Medical.
  • It is recommended that you wait at least 18 hours after diving, prior to air travel.

Diving Conditions

Water temperature varies from 21-28°C, offering comfortable diving. Average visibility ranges from 5-15 metres, depending on the tide, location and weather. The visibility is generally better at Bait Reef..

Snorkelling is also available from these trips. So non-diving friends and family may also attend.

You will require a dive medical from a doctor if you have any of the following conditions or are over the age of 55:

Asthma or wheezing, Diabetes, Fainting, seizures or blackouts, chronic bronchitis or persistent chest complaints, Chronic sinus conditions, collapsed lung, brain or spinal cord injury or disorder, Heart disease of any kind, Chest surgery, High or low blood pressure, ear surgery on antidepressants.

To avoid disappointment have your doctor perform a

You are not able to dive if you:

Are Pregnant, suffer from; Epilepsy or Tuberculosis or long term lung disease. Or are flying in the next 12hrs after a single scuba dive and 24 after 2 dives.
